We put up our tree at the weekend, the earliest we've ever done it! But as the next few weekends are busy ones, we went ahead and started the festivities early.
I like showing the girls that not everything must be purchased from a shop and that nature provides most of what we need... even Christmas decorations! SO off we went to our local woodland walk in search of things to decorate and spread around our home.
We gathered twigs and holly and other bits of spruce for making wreaths, garlands and star ornaments... We were in search of pine cones too, but I think this particular wood was not dry enough for pine trees.
Hopefully I'll get round to showing off the results of this little jaunt soon.
