My name is Carolyn, I'm a freelance photographer & maker.
I have been working as a photographer for over 15 years and use both digital & analogue. My journey in photography started with the traditional practice of film photography and exploring the fine art world, exhibiting my work and eventually setting up a studio & photographic darkroom. It has since led me to photographing weddings, portraits & families as well as working with small businesses and creatives. My style is creative, honest & evolving.
I run photography workshops for those wishing to take better pictures with their digital cameras and find their personal style.
I am an avid fan of traditional craft and spent some years developing knitwear and crochet garments & designs that focused on comfort, quality and function using natural colours & materials.
I also run a biannual art, design & craft market with my friend in Birmingham, called The Paperdolls.
More recently I have discovered a love for design and has worked on websites + logos for small businesses. As well as helping clients to develop brand identity & navigate social media.
Seeking to live more simply, consciously & creatively in every aspect of life - including my work. I share some of the ways in my blog in which I also incorporate my love of photography & the arts & crafts.
I live in Birmingham with my husband and two daughters.
