dinner party

turning 30...

I reached a bit of a landmark last weekend, entering a new decade!! i was keen to mark the occasion with an intimate dinner party surrounded by a few close friends and family.

Guests were told to dress 1930s style and a beautiful ambience was created with the help of flowers, candles, twinkly lights & the delicious smells & tastes of moroccan cuisine (all cooked by my amazing Mum) ...all this contributed to a very special evening indeed.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy...

(above) my sister's creation... triple chocolate cake, with white chocolate cream cheese icing, edible gold glitter and fresh flowers to decorate.
She also did an excellent job disguising a dodgy bit on the roof with bunches of ivy cut from the garden!

i feel very lucky to have kick started my thirties this way! What a brilliant family I have.

I'm ready for this new season in my life... I've loved my twenties but feel more accepting of myself, happy in who I am and what I want from life.

And so I'm excited to see what the next ten years hold for me and my little family. Xx
