I recently spent a very pleasant day photographing local ceramicist Katie Robbins in her garden studio.
Working on the wheel she has honed her skill so much so that her pots are now in high demand and sent to customers all over the world. She uses porcelain to create her beautiful vases, planters and candle holders, which are then glazed in her favourite pastel tones and soft whites.
I really love the tactile, messy nature of working with clay - having done a pottery course myself last year and so enjoyed capturing Katie’s process on camera.
