Photography workshop for beginners
I run photography workshops to help people get to grips their digital cameras. My Level 1 workshop is aimed at those of you who own a digital camera but is always set to auto mode.
Perhaps you enjoy the creative process of taking pictures, but have little understanding of what your camera can do and how to best make use of the settings, to get the kind of pictures you want.
Below is a basic summary of what my workshop covers.
How to get the most out of your digital camera and take better pictures.
The workshop will include:
- The basics of photography.
- Understanding your camera better;
Apertures, Shutter Speed, ISO and other camera modes.
- How to use natural light for better pictures
- Composition and how to best frame your subject
- How to take better portraits
- A chance to practice your new found skills.
If you have a workshop space or are keen for me to come and teach yourself or a group of collegues/employees etc, then please get in touch!
Or alternatively book yourself onto one of my up and coming workshops here.
Ffion Crilly - Style & Interiors blogger:
"I really liked how Carolyn explained the technical side of photography with out being too tech, the focus was on creativity which made it a much more pleasurable learning experience.
I definitely left feeling confident that I had learnt something and I can honestly say it was a morning well spent. I’m so glad I decided to take the risk of booking on a course and would recommend attending this workshop if like me your needing a friendly guide to getting you started in digital photography." Nicki Grainger - Brand stylist:
Being such an intimate learning experience was of much benefit, so we got some really useful one-on-one tuition and advice from Carolyn, with the opportunity to put the practical knowledge into action and capture images in the dreamy natural light of the shop.... If you are looking to get to know your own digital camera a bit better and enjoy an informative, yet relaxed style workshop, I highly recommend booking onto one of Carolyn's future sessions."
